Garmin Descent G1 Slate Grey

Garmin Descent G1 Dive Computer

The Garmin Descent G1 series is a compact, watch-style dive computer engineered for divers who want serious underwater performance without sacrificing everyday versatility. Designed to transition seamlessly from ocean depths to daily life, the G1 combines advanced dive capabilities with the functionality of a rugged multisport smartwatch.

Built for Every Dive

Whether you’re exploring reefs, training in freediving, or diving technical profiles, the Descent G1 delivers the tools you need. It supports:

• Single-Gas and Multi-Gas modes, including Nitrox and Trimix (up to 100% O₂)

• Gauge mode for backup or technical monitoring

• Apnea and Apnea Hunt modes for freedivers

• Closed-Circuit Rebreather (CCR) compatibility

With a 100-meter water rating and compliance to MIL-STD-810 standards for thermal, shock, and water resistance, the G1 is built to handle demanding environments both underwater and on land.

Surface & Underwater Navigation

Equipped with built-in surface GPS, the G1 allows you to mark entry and exit points for precise dive logging. Beneath the surface, a 3-axis digital compass provides reliable underwater navigation, enhancing situational awareness during every dive.

Everyday Smart Features

Beyond diving, the G1 functions as a full-featured smartwatch with:

• Garmin Pay™ for contactless payments

• Smart notifications

• Over 30 built-in sports apps including running, cycling, swimming, surfing, and more

• Advanced fitness and wellness tracking

All dive logs and performance metrics sync seamlessly with the Garmin Dive app and Garmin Connect for detailed analysis and customization.

How It Compares

Compared to premium models like the Garmin Descent Mk2 and Garmin Descent Mk3, the G1 features a high-contrast monochrome display instead of a color AMOLED screen and does not support air integration. However, this streamlined design makes it lighter, more affordable, and exceptionally durable—ideal for divers who want reliability, long battery life, and everyday wearability in one device.

The Garmin Descent G1 series is the perfect balance of performance, durability, and smart functionality—ready for adventure above and below the surface.
